The first Live Laugh Learn event was held in Calgary this past weekend on Sunday May 3rd. Live Laugh Learn is a new monthly girl gathering held at lululemon, for young women living with and recovering from breast cancer. Women are given an opportunity to connect with other individuals that they can relate to, while enjoying a night of education, delectable treats, sharing a few laughs and so much more.
The launch of Live Laugh Learn included a special guest speaker, Dr. Ardythe E. Taylor, Medical Director and Founder of the Breast Cancer Supportive Care Foundation in Calgary. Dr. Taylor spoke about the value of connecting with other young women, processing emotions and finding support programs that suit a woman’s individual and unique needs. The next Live Laugh Learn is scheduled for Sunday June 7th. For more information, click here. To start a Live Laugh Learn in your city, email support@rethinkbreastcancer.com.
