Breast Cancer Peer Navigation for Young Women

Rethink Breast Cancer is proud to be the funding agency behind the “Young Women with Breast Cancer Peer Navigation & Support” program. YWBC Peer Navigation & Support is a collaborative initiative between Wellspring, Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada, and the Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre. The program facilitates connections between young women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer, and a “peer navigator”, a survivor who is of a similar age and stage of life, but who is farther along in the process. This “peer navigator” assumes the role of providing emotional and informational support to the newly diagnosed woman. This program is available to young women with breast cancer across Ontario.
