Save Boobs!

MTV's Aliya Jasmin is so amazing, not only is she playing a huge role in the Boobyball by dedicating her time once again as co chair, but she's also hooked up our events team with a MTV blog spot! Read on below, to see what the events team has to say about preparing for the Boobyball!

” We are so excited to be working with MTV on the Boobyball this year!! It is a perfect fit as Boobyball is the hottest event in town where young philanthropists can show their support of Rethink Breast Cancer. We are an innovative charity that is leading the young women’s breast cancer movement, just check out the great work we’re doing here!

This year’s theme for the “Boobyball” is all about rock and roll (hello MTV!) as we pay tribute to the world’s most iconic nightclub, Studio 54! Glamourous worlds will collide as high society comes together with seventies disco Kings and Queens, Warhol Factory artists, glam rock royalty and urchins of the night-The event is going to bring glam back in a big way!!

We are so blown away that Boobyball 9 is already creating a scene. A few weeks ago up and coming photographers Caitlin Cronenberg, Steve Carty, Babar Kahn, Jalani Morgan and Javier Lovera re-imagined iconic Studio 54 photos to be sold as part of Boobyball’s fantastic auction. The shoot was super glamourous with committee members and models getting dolled up to be part of this photo competition (each photographer had one hour with the same group of people to capture their shot-check out some of the behind the scenes.

Boobyball was started to raise funds in honour of Sarah O’Regan who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 23! She is such an inspiration and still very much the “muse” of the event! Amanda Blakely and Ashleigh Dempster of The Society Global helped develop and run the event for the past 8 years and have raised close to a million dollars for the cause! They gifted the event to Rethink this year and we know we have such amazing shoes to fill! Our goal is to raise another $140,000 for Rethink Breast Cancer!

At Boobyball 9: Flash, you will navigate through flashing lights and watch as Disco Divas and Club Kid wannabes scramble for their 15 minutes of fame- so get on the guest list and traverse the perils of the club bouncer and his red velvet rope as we transport you back in time to the hottest party of the Glam Era! “
