The Rethink Garden Project completed in less than 4 hours on Saturday June 6, 2009!
A fabulous team of TELUS Day of Service volunteers and some of Rethink Breast Cancer’s dedicated volunteers and staff showed up, spades and cultivators in hand, to complete two garden makeovers in one day.
The deserving recipients of the garden transformations are friends of Rethink, are both currently in treatment for breast cancer, and both are garden enthusiasts. Rethink wanted to provide a quiet and beautifully landscaped area for a gentle nap, a silent moment of reflection, and place to watch the kids play. We succeeded … with a lot of help!
We could not have made these gardens possible without the guidance, expertise, and vision of our incredible landscapers: Ryan Heath from Ryan Heath Professional Landscaping (www.ryanheath.com) and Ann Todt from Dirt Girl Landscaping (www.dirtgirllandscaping.com). Thank you for your dedication, your time, materials and staff. We really could not have succeeded without you! THANK YOU!

Thank you to Marjorie Harris, Mark Cullen, Rebecca Perry and the Toronto Botanical Garden for their guidance and encouragement. Additionally, thank you to Subway Restaurants for supplying lunch, Permacon Group for donating the interlock (www.permacon.ca) and Sheridan Nurseries for donating plant materials (www.sheridannurseries.com).
