Building a stronger breast cancer community for young women
Rethink is fairly new to blogging. And, I'll admit, I've made a few rookie mistakes with my first forays. Creating blog posts and just hoping people will come. Oops. Talking at people instead of asking and listening. Double oops. Talking about myself a little too much. Oops again. There are hundreds of thousands of breast conversations taking place on-line. We are getting busy finding those conversations and participating in them. Our goal is to expand our vibrant, dynamic, caring community for young (and young-ish) women concerned about and affected by breast cancer. We need your help!
Three simple ways you can help us build our breast cancer community
1. Share your story with us! We really want to hear about you and your connection to or interest in the breast cancer cause. What are your issues and concerns? We certainly have some. We'd like to get your help and help you too. Like many of you, we have been touched personally by breast cancer. Let's figure out how we help each other with the issues and concerns surrounding breast cancer and young women.
2. Encourage others to share their stories too. Help connect young women to Rethink Breast Cancer. Let young women concerned about and affected by breast cancer issues know that Rethink wants to hear from them, hear their stories and help meet their needs.
3. Help us find the important breast cancer conversations taking place across Canada and around the world. Send us any interesting and inspiring blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, forums that you have come across.
In return, we're going to do our best to bring you great resources and responsive programs and initiatives. Most importantly, we're going to listen to you! We want to build great relationships. What's in a great relationship? Respect. Trust. Growth. Kindness. Sharing. Being there. Rethink's breast cancer community for young women will continue to feature expert advice but we also want to create a forum for sharing.
